The Perfect Recipe for Autumn
Ingredients:
- 500 g pumpkin
- 2 tablespoons cornflour
- Grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Macè Tzatziki Sauce
Preparation:
1. Start by washing and drying the pumpkin thoroughly to remove all moisture. Cut the flesh into sticks about 1.5 cm wide and 6 cm long; if possible, avoid making them too thick for a crispy outside and soft inside.
2. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Add the pumpkin sticks and massage them gently to make the breadcrumbs stick to each side.
3. Sprinkle the sticks with cornflour, which will ensure a perfect browning and an extra crispy texture.
4. Preheat the oven to 180-190°C. Prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper lightly greased with olive oil. Arrange the pumpkin sticks next to each other, avoiding overlapping. Bake for about 20 minutes, turning them halfway through baking for even browning.
5. For extra crunch, switch to grill mode for the last 2 minutes.
6. Serve the sticks piping hot, accompanied by the Macè Tzatziki Sauce. The freshness of the sauce will add an irresistible aromatic flavour, perfect to enhance the taste of the crispy pumpkin.
